Hello Family and Friends! How are you all doing? :) I hope that you are all doing well and that you are enjoying the nice weather. So now we are both in summer which is nice, but now it is raining more so that's been fun to have some nice rain come down. And just a head's up in Ghana Elections come up for the new president this November, so that will be interesting. All the Ghanaians mostly don't like John Mahamma, so we shall see if this other guy will win. But that's not as cool as Missionary work :) So this week was a little bit slower but that's okay.

So Monday of course was our P-Day but Elder Johnson and I went to See Bishop Ewudzie and talk to him about trying Member Referral Forms so we could pass out to the ward, so we had a nice discussion.
Tuesday was a nice day. We had District Meeting and I decided to play a game with the district, and we had some fun. :) I just asked some questions about the Book of Mormon and Church History and then I gave everyone Biscuits yay! But I also tried to have some spiritual moments as well so hopefully they learned some new stuff. But then we had supplies, and that was it for the night.
Wednesday was a pretty slow but we saw Francis and he is doing well. We got to Joseph Smith and it was really good. :) He is progressing well. After that we weren't able to have any other lessons due to the rain and we also had to do Weekly Planning today because of Thursday.
Thursday was a nice day because I went to Takoradi and I got my non-citzen ID card renewed and it was fun. I got to see my TC's and have a nice lunch so it was cool :) And you all know Friday was Supplies so that was fun, but we have got a new pamphlet now so that's cool. :) It's called Teaching and learning in the Church it's really cool. WE are supposed to get a Temple Pamphlet soon so we shall see.
Saturday was a good day. Elder Johnson and I went to the Adult Session of Stake conference and then we met a less active woman named Grace Ayiey and she has a story but I want to get a picture with her and then I will explain next week. But she was really sweet, and we saw her daughter and we know of her son and they also are less active so hopefully we can help them.
Sunday was the Cape Coast Stake Conference, and it was sweet. Big news is that the cape coast stake split and now we are in the Yamoransa Stake! We and the Green Hill ward will be a part of the new stake so that's cool :) But it was really good. After stake conference we saw the Twins less active sister Helina and she is really sweet, and we are trying to help her. So hopefully we can.

So Elder Johnson and I are working with the less active s and the members to strengthen them and to seek for more referrals. :) But things are going well, and the work is moving small small :)
Anyways I lovey you all. I hope you all have a great week.
Love,
Elder Harward
Prayer List

Zone Activity at Victoria Beach, Saying Goodbye to Elder Hodson and Hello to Elder Johnson

Hello Family and Friends! How are you all doing? I hope that you are all doing well, and that you are having lots of fun adventures! Hopefully you guys are enjoying the nice summer air.

Monday was our P-Day and we had a Zone activity at Victoria Beach!! The zone leaders got us rice and we played some games on the beach: fun!

Tuesday was our MLC report from the Zone Leaders and we talked a little bit about our zone conference coming up on the 25th of May, and we also talked about how to make baptism services more spiritual; as well as being punctual for every meeting, so I learned some good things that President Stevenson wants us to work on. Then Elder Hodson and I did our last day of supplies together.

Wednesday was transfers, so we helped the missionaries go from Tantri Station to Pedu Station and with their luggage. I dropped off Elder Hodson at Pedu Station and I said goodbye, which was sad, and then I picked up Elder Johnson. Chandler Johnson (We have three in our mission, so I have to specify which one) and he is a cool guy! I helped him with his bags and then he helped me with the other missionaries and we got to know each other. So a little bit about Elder Johnson: he is from Commerce City Colorado!  He is 18 years old (Turns 19 on the 31st so we get to baptize him YES! :)) And he ran Cross Country in High School, and  his favorite color is blue, so that's just a little bit about him, but he really is cool, and we get along really well, so that's nice :)

After transfer stuff Elder Johnson and I went to see some members and then we went to Final FuFu.

Final Fufu

Thursday was a bit of a slower day, but we did find the Mensah Family and got to talk to them, and we also got to go visit some more members.

Friday of course was supplies, and it was Elder Johnson’s first day and he picked up really well, so it that was good, and PEC was nice because Bishop was happy to meet our new "Brothers".

Saturday Elder Johnson and I saw Cecilia's husband, Francis, and it was a really great lesson. He came to church the past Sunday (Elder Hodson's last Sunday) so we followed up and this was his first time coming, and he said he really enjoyed the "simple" of the church meeting and how it was ran and we had a great first lesson with him. He even came again to church this Sunday! :) Also we saw Sylvester and talked to him and just tried to answer his questions, but he didn't come to church so that was sad. Then we saw Edward and started reviewing the lessons with him and he is doing really well. We also stopped by the Mensah Family again so hopefully we can help them small small.

Sunday of course was church. Edward gave us a referral of one his friends and he came to church, so we are going to see him this next week! It was so cool to see him being a missionary, and it really touched me at how he really is helping his friend. We then saw Bro. Hanson, the less active, who hates the church. It was hard and he said, “Just let me go to hell.” I was shocked, but the Savior still loves him and we are going to help him the best we can. The Gift prepared us a nice meal and it was CoConta so it was good. After that we didn't have any lessons because Ben and the others weren't home, and we didn't find a translator for Charity, but we did set up a time for Wednesday.

That is all for the week! I hope that all is going well! Keep being awesome and sharing the gospel. The Lord will help you as you pray for opportunities to serve and help others. I love you all, have a great week!
Love,

Elder Harward

President Interviews, My Bald Head, Edward's Baptism, Transfer News, and Mother's Day!!!

Hello Family and Friends! :) How are you all doing? I hope that everything is going well for all of you! I hope that you had a nice Mother's day last week, and were able to tell your mom's how much you love them. I hope the weather is nice over there and that you are enjoying the sunshine.

Okay so as for this week, wow... what a week! Lots of fun stuff happened:

Monday- Was P- Day of course, I worked out, so I can work off all the calories I ate from the Family Pack challenge, so that was nice, but I definitely am not in shape, so I need to improve.

Tuesday came and we did Supplies! :) Yay! District Meeting was canceled due to the Green Hill Sisters having their President Interviews, so we had a nice full day of supplies. Then we saw Cecilia and Phillip and listened to a chapter from the B.O.M. in Fante so she could understand, and that was really nice! We choose 2nd Nephi 31, and it was a nice lesson. Then we saw Edward, and we went over the Baptismal Interview Questions and it was so great! It really has been neat to see how much he has progressed and it was a neat lesson, and I could just feel that he was ready to be baptized. Okay so funny story time.... I decided to get a haircut before mother's day, so I could look good. We were in Cape Coast on Tuesday and there is this guy named Elementor who cuts hair so we decided to go, and I got my hair cut. He really is a sweet guy, and it was nice to talk to him, but... I am not sure if I was specific enough because he cut my sides SUPER SHORT but kept my top long. (He still is a cool guy though) SO I thought this is not appropriate at all, and Mother's day is coming up and I have president's interviews coming up. So I am at home and I have some scissors on my desk (You can see where this is going) and I decided to cut the top off myself but I wasn't good at it and I didn't ask for help so I have these really bad bald spot and my hair is even more of a mess so It wasn't the best night. But the other Elders told me the next morning (After they all laughed) that the best thing to do is just shave it off and then let it grow, so I went to another person and got it shaved to 1 or something but it's really short, but at least it feels like carpet :) So I am almost bald just so you know :)

Wednesday came around, and the first thing we did was fix my hair so that was nice, the guy that helped was really nice and it looks nice now. Then we saw Edward and talked about the Temple and Baptisms for the Dead and it was really nice. Then Elder Hodson and I tried to see some less active guy named Elder Hanson who is like a pioneer for Nkanfoa who brought the gospel there, but he is upset at the church because they let him go because he wasn't doing his job, so he has some back past hate. But we said hi at least so we will get there hopefully one day with him :) Elder Hodson and I are also trying to go and see the Mensah Family and the Abbakah Family as well so hopefully we will be able to. That night we saw Cecilia again and listened to 3rd Nephi 11 and it was really neat, to see Cecilia listening to the B.O.M. so it was great!

Thursday was a bit of a slower day. We had Edward's Interview after Weekly Planning and we found a translator (Luckily :) ) and everything worked out, and he passed! Yay! Then Elder Hodson and I rushed to the Mission Home for our interviews with President Stevenson. It was really nice. While we were waiting, Sister Stevenson talked to us about testimony and conversion and what they mean and it was really nice..

Then came Friday and we did Supplies! :) Before we did supplies though I got to interview 3 people of the Green Hill Sisters so that was really nice, but it was a nice supply day, and PEC was really great as well.

Saturday finally rolls around and Elder Hodson and I go out and we have lunch then we make sure everything is ready for Edward, and then we went to the twins home making sure they were still coming (Benjamin was preforming the baptism) and everything was good, and Edward was Baptized!!! Yay! The young men came and supported him and the spirit was really strong so that was great. After the Baptism we went with the Young Men to try to see some of their friends and invite them to church and that was fun. This was just the kick off activity so I am excited to see what happens next time. Then we had the Transfer Meeting that night. Okay so.... Elder Hodson is getting Transferred to the Takoradi Zone to Apowa to be with his TC Elder Igbeindeon, so he is going to enjoy. I am staying of course and my new companion is Elder Johnson (Chandler) we have 3 Johnson's in the missions so that's funny. I have heard of him. He is leaving his son Elder Maumau (Toa) so I am excited to talk to him and be his companion. I have heard good things so that's nice. :) I am sad that Elder Hodson is leaving though, he has been my longest companion and I have learned so much from him.

Sunday came and it was Mother's Day! YAY!!! I was really excited to call home :) but first we had church and Edward was confirmed a member and he was ordained a deacon (he is only 13 and then he will be 14 in like 3 weeks) so it was really neat! I really felt the spirit when we sang Where Can I turn for Peace and I just really love that song, and about how the Savior really does give us peace, and He is the only one that can do that. Anyways after Church Elder Hodson went to the Mission Home and then he Skyped home then I got to skype and it was really nice :) I really enjoyed seeing the family :) Afterwards then we went to see some members because Elder Hodson is saying goodbye so that was fun, but then that night we helped Jesse put some supplies in the truck before he goes so that was nice.

But anyways that's all for the week! I love you all so much! I hope that you are all having lots of fun adventures. Keep relying upon the Savior, He really is the only one that give us peace. Have a great week okay!
Love,
Elder Harward

Prayer List
1. Elder Hodson- That he might love his new area and companion and that we will always stay good friends :)
2. Elder Johnson- That he might be ready to be my companion that  we might love each other and work hard together
3. Members/Less Actives- So that we might be able to strengthen the ward, as well as find those who may have lost there way, and for us to find more people to teach as we ask for referrals.
That's about it. If you could keep a prayer in for me that would be nice. :) Sometimes I doubt myself and stuff but I am trying to be better. I love you so much thank you for all that you do. Do you think you could put just some small more money in my account, so we can get food? I am hoping not to pull it, but we may have to get some more stuff with 5 people being in the apartment soon, but I will keep you updated. :) I love you so much, have a great week okay? :)

A few things about Elder Hodsen...and more

Hello Family and Friends! How are you all doing today! I hope that you are all enjoying the nice summer weather coming on, and are about to enjoy the month of May! Okay new words for you guys to practice: Kwesida E Som- Keep the Sabbath Day Holy, Kakra- Younger Twin Payne- Older Twin.

This was a great week! But before I get to the week I want to talk a little bit about Elder Hodson. I have been with Elder Hodson for 3 transfers know and it has been really nice to get to know him, so I would like to share some insights with you, so you can know him too :) Elder Hodson has three main things about him. 1. Mankessim- He LOVES that area. It was his first place and he had a lot of success there, and he will usually reference it from time to time. So we like to say "In Mankessim..." He says he will go back there sometime, either there or Saltpond 2. One of Elder Hodson's favorite quotes "Don't Worry about it" Ha-ha he says it a lot, just after random stuff he will just say it, and it's pretty great. 3. He also says this "I don't lie... I just don't always tell the truth" ha-ha Elder Hodson sometimes lies but he likes to say that it's not always telling the truth so that's pretty funny. Also I like to say Elder Hodson is the "Best Supply Elder in the GCCM" Elder Hodson works so hard, and knows how to do supplies very well, so I have been trying to learn from him and he is a great guy, and he also can read very fast. He goes through books so fast, and he is very intelligent Oh and he likes Country Music, so sometimes he will sing at random times during the day. Finally Elder Hodson likes Chewing Gum, Magic Malt, and talking to people. When he gets with new people he will just start talking to them forever and it's a really nice ice breaker, so that's a little bit about my companion! Ha-ha He might get transferred because this Saturday is transfer new so we shall see.

SO for the week it was nice!
Monday- was a nice P Day :)
Tuesday- Was District Meeting and Elder Reyes instructed on Humility and it was really nice. Then we had District Lunch! :) Sister Namutebi made Chapattis and Zumbis's and it was so good! We brought Fan Yango and we had water, and then we took some pictures! It was fun!  Then we did Supplies of course! :) After that we didn't see anyone because we had to pick Elder Magopolo from Cape Coast for our Exchanges with the Zone Leaders!

So Wednesday I was on Exchanges with the Zone Leaders! Elder Hodson went to Cape Coast and Elder Magopolo came with me to Nkanfoa and it was really nice. We had a good time and I learned a lot of good things from him. This was my first exchange with a zone leader so that was cool. We saw Edward, Sylvester, Franics, and Christiana and it was really nice.
Thursday was a bit slower day for Elder Hodson and me. but we did see Edward and talked about the law of Chasity (since we did word of wisdom last time) and then we saw Francis and talked to him small, but then the rain came so we had to wait it out after that, but we did see Christiana as she was going home and we talked to her for a little bit and she is doing well.

Friday was a nice day with Supplies! Elder Hodson and I also organized some of the boxes of pamphlets in the back so that was sweet. Then we had PEC and had a great discussion about the ward, and then we saw Edward and talked about Tithing and Fast Offerings and Honoring the Law and it was a good lesson. He really is understand and progressing well!
Saturday- Was a really nice day! It was a little slow at first but we did see (You guessed it) Edward! He really is great, and we just finished the commandments with him and he make sure to review him what we talked about last time so that everything is still okay. But it was nice. Then Brother Emmanuel Bwabin (Our Young Men's President) Came with us to show us some members (We talked a little bit about that in PEC) and we saw where Brother Joseph Wa Tree and his sons the "Twins" Kakra and Payne (it come in handy in Ghana because they go by older and smaller) Benjamin Karka and Mogabi are really sweet priest and they are so cool and we also met there two less active brother s Samuel wo is older and the really young Samuel and it was nice to meet with them. Then we saw the Abbakah Family where Mercy is staying (She is going on her mission at the end of this transfer) and we saw her mother and it was really nice. Then I went on my exchange with Elder Reyes and we saw Lydia (this sweet old woman who lives on a hill) and Emmanuel and Abigail's Family and talked to them for a bit, and it was really nice. Ha-ha we took some pictures of our exchange as well.
Sunday- May 1st Fast Sunday and Mom's Birthday! It was a really nice day. Edward came to church and we gave him some ties that he could wear and it was good to see him, and even we had 3 or 4 less actives come to church including both of Benjamin and Mogabi's Brothers Samuel! It was SO neat. Elder Hodson and I are really going to focus on the members and less actives and really strengthening them so that everything will go well and that we might be happy to find some new people to teach. After Church we saw... Edward! Again! Yay! And we talked a little bit about the Priesthood and him becoming a Teacher and things like that, and it was really great. After we saw him then the office elders, the assistants and we broke our fast with.... The Family Pack Challenge!!!! So I guess it's a thing in the mission but you’re supposed to cook this HUGE thing of Indo Mie (meant for a family) with 6 eggs and eat all of it, (Plus a 1.5 liter of soda) SO we did it! And I included pictures! We didn't have enough fruit punch for every single person but we just shared the drinks but 4 out of the 6 finished all of their food. Elder Stulce, Elder Reyes, Elder Hannemann, and Me :) I felt SO FAT after that meal, but it was fun. (Ha-ha I worked out on today because I ate so much food... so I am going to try to be healthier. After Lunch we went back to the chapel and went to the Young Men Training so that they could go out the missionaries and what was expected of them, and it was really neat! Even Edward Came! I included pictures :) But it was a great meeting, and they are going out this Saturday to see some of the referrals that the young men come up with, and then they will give them to us, so that's very nice. :) Finally Elder Hodson and I saw the Quartson's and just said hi to them and their crazy boy Moroni (He has a really cool Book of Mormon name for sure).

But that's all for this week! I hope you are all having lots of fun and are enjoying life. Keeping moving forward, you are all amazing and I love you all :) P.S. This next week is BIG, we have President Interviews, Edward's Baptism, Transfer News, and Mother's Day all in the same week!!! So Crazy, but it should be so good!!! Love you!
Love,
Elder Harward
Prayer List
1. Edward- For his baptism interview to go well as well as his baptism :) Benjamin the Priest is actually baptizing him so that's really neat.
2. Emmanuel (From Green Hill Ward) - Remember the guy I baptized on Sunday for Green Hill? Well he didn't get confirmed this week. Some Member didn't say the nicest stuff and he didn't feel worthy so he didn't come to church so he could use some prayers because he really needs the Gift of The Holy Ghost.
3. The Members- That we might be able to see them and love them and show them our support for them.
4. Elder Hodson- He mostly get transferred so keep him in your prayers so that he will be comfortable going to his new area.

Mission Tour and Greenhill Baptism

This week was our Mission Tour!!! (For Central Region) and we got to hear from the area seventy Elder Vinson who is the first Counselor in the presidency. We got to the chapel first and then we had lunch and said hi to everyone. Of course everyone is happy and talking to each other. Then after lunch the meeting starts. We heard from Elder Stulce, Sister Stevenson, Elder Warner, President Stevenson, Sister Vinson, and Elder Vinson. It was a really good meeting. I don't remember everything about the meeting, but it was really good. Elder Vinson talked about our potential and where we could go, and how we could ask for good referrals. It was a nice meeting. After that was the Membership Fireside for the Cape Coast Stake and that was really sweet. Elder and Sister Vinson talked about being the Lord's Hands from Dieter F. Uchtdorf and it was SO good. Even though it was a lot for the members I really took it for me too that I need to be the lord's hands and it was a good lesson for me to learn.

Also this week we saw Sylvester again and we just talked to him about how he is doing. He was a little bit drunk so it was a little bit shaky and so it wasn’t the best lesson but hopefully we can really help him; we then had Coordination Meeting that night so it was okay.

Friday was another Supply Day! WOOO, haha it's kind of exciting for packages and stuff. I actually sent my family package this day so hopefully it gets there :) But after Supplies we had PEC and it was good. Then after PEC we saw Christiana's friend Patricia and Christiana was with us. We talked to her small before that,  but tonight we saw her and we talked to her and it was nice.

Saturday was a nice! Elder Hodson and I went to see Edward. IT was really good. HE PRAYED!!!!! YES!! we were so happy. He says he knows it's true which is SO good. We talked with about Lesson 3 and it was good! We actually are pushing his baptism to May 7th so that we have a week to review everything. But he even came to church on Sunday so that was nice! I also had 4 ceddis of fufu for lunch which is a lot and not healthy at all, but it was really good. After that I did an interview of The Green Hill Sisters for a guy named Emmanuel and it was SO sweet. He is a great guy, and he invited us to come and we said of course we would come. It was a nice spiritual experience. But after that we didn't see anyone after that because everything else fell though.

Sunday was good. We had church and Edward and Charity (She was a surprise) came to church and it was good. WE then went to the baptism for the Greeen Hill Sisters Baptism and we got there and they wanted me to perform it. It was another humbling and great experience. Then we had lunch and then we saw Ben, and talked to him about Lesson 3: Baptism and Authority. But he still has some questions so we need to talk to him some more.

But that's all for this week! I love you all so much! I hope you all have a great week!! Have lots of fun adventures!
Love,
Elder Harward
